On the other hand, the elements of the crime of possession of dangerous drugs are: (1) the accused is in possession of an item or object which is identified to be a prohibited drug; (2) such possession is not authorized by law; and (3) the accused freely and consciously possessed the said drug.[15]

Anent appellant's defense of frame-up, such is inherently weak and viewed with disfavor for it can be easily concocted.[8] For this defense to succeed, it must be proven with strong and convincing evidence.[9] Appellant failed in this regard.
