This is in the nature of actual and compensatory damages, and is obligatory upon conviction for rape.[46] In addition, she is entitled to moral damages in the amount of P50,000. Moral damages are automatically awarded to rape victims without the necessity of proof, for it is assumed that she suffered moral injuries entitling her to such award. Such award is separate and distinct from civil indemnity.[47]
