PEOPLE v. PFC. HECTOR C. SALE

This case has been cited 2 times or more.

SANDOVAL-GUTIERREZ, J.
Michelle's testimony is straightforward, unflawed by significant inconsistency, and unshaken by rigid cross-examination. It deserves full faith and credence. In rape cases, the accused may be convicted solely on the testimony of the rape victim if her testimony is credible, natural, and convincing.[16]

PANGANIBAN, J.
In a long line of cases, we have held that different people react differently to different situations. There is no standard form of human behavioral response when one is confronted with a frightful experience. While the reaction of some women who are faced with the possibility of rape is struggling or shouting for help, still others become virtually catatonic because of the mental shock they experienced.[26]
