QUISUMBING, J.
In addition, Dr. Roland Tanglao's medical findings, presented to the court during trial as Exhibit "B," corroborated Maylene's claim that she had sex prior to the medical examination conducted on her. Her positive assertion that it was because of the sexual intercourse with appellant that she sustained hymenal lacerations, deserves greater weight than the mere denial of the appellant concerning the first rape and his contention that the lacerations in her genitalia could have been caused by activities other than sex.  When the testimony of a rape victim is consistent with the medical findings, sufficient basis exists to warrant a conclusion that essential requisites of carnal knowledge has thereby been established.[30]
