| The present petition[1] seeks the reversal of the decision of the Court of Appeals (CA) in CA-G.R. No. 37507,[2] declaring respondents Leona Aparicio Sabay, Doroteo Sabay, Severino Sabay, Desdichado Sabay, Leonarda Sabay, Virgilio Sabay and Napoleon Sabay (the respondents) the true and lawful owners of the lands subject of the complaint. The assailed CA decision granted the respondents' appeal from the decision of the Regional Trial Court (RTC), Branch 9, Cebu City, that in turn declared petitioners Juan Balbuena and Teodulfo Retuya (the petitioners) the true owners of the lands. | |||||
